Resizing to 256×256 — FAQ
Is the output exactly 256×256?
Yes. Every exported file is an exact 256×256 pixel canvas — the size is locked to this page, so there is nothing to configure.
What happens to the aspect ratio?
Nothing is stretched. Your image is scaled proportionally to fit inside the canvas and centered; any leftover sides become padding — transparent for PNG and WebP, white for JPG.
My image is smaller than the target — can it still be used?
Yes. Smaller images are enlarged to fit the canvas. The output size is exact; sharpness is limited by the original resolution.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Resizing runs entirely in your browser — your images never leave your device.
